Policy

The proprietors seek to integrate their commitment to responsibility into our normal daily business so that it will impact on communities, employees and the environment in a positive, constructive manner. We will ensure our responsibilities are upheld throghout the entire operation. This policy, although overarching, will be expected to be delivered at a local level and be specifically applied to each site.

As the company grows we will develop and expand upon our detailed strategies to ensure continued commitment to delivery of our responsibilities.

 

 

LV Construction Environmental Policy

Introduction

This is the environmental policy for LV Construction . It sets out the company’s approach and commitment to environmental issues and has been approved by the proprietors. It is widely communicated to our employees and is provided to customers as part of our overall company policy statements. This statement is part of our overall approach to our Responsibility. It will shortly be summarised in customer and employee welcome packs.

 

Objectives

The aim of our environmental policy is to:

·         Identify and minimise the risks posed to the environment by our company’s operations

·         Comply with current environmental legislation

 

Policy

To achieve these objectives the company will do the following:

·         Encourage our suppliers to comply with our policies

·         Ensure our employees and contractors understand and implement this policy

·         Use sustainable, reusable or recyclable products

·         Ensure that all wastes, particularly hazardous and contaminated are appropriately handled and disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner and in accordance with statutory requirements

·         Prevent pollution, reduce waste and maximise material and energy use

·         Minimise noise, emissions and traffic from our sites

·         Minimise the effect of our operations on wildlife and seek to protect and enhance the natural environment.

·         Reduce the risk of environmental accidents through proper risk assessment and ensure appropriate measures are in place to deal with accidental pollution

·         Use land efficiently and where possible incorporate sustainable features in our buildings
